mother nature can be a real bitch!

i have no words to describe how i feel after watching my home town of toowoomba being ripped apart when a 3 metre wall of water rushed through parts of the CBD on the 10th of January. as i watched with tears streaming down my face i began to panic about my friends who work in the centre of town and those who i love that live there. thankfully all of those i love are safe. one friend said that part of her car was wrapped around a post but that she was safe and another friend is stranded in his home town of gatton away from his wife and daughter but they are all well. i am still very worried about friends who live in Murphy's creek which is at the bottom of the range and as yet still have no clue as to there safety. if you believe in the power of prayer please start praying now. xxrosey

It is just shocking Rosey!
My Brother is seperated from his 5 kids and partner after the bridge between them and home went down!
And who would think a town 600 or 700 mtrs above sea level would get such a flood disaster!

Rosey I so agree, Mother Nature is indeed peeved beyond belief and there is no escaping her wrath. I am also heartbroken but somehow we need to keep going, there is nothing else we can do but keep going and hug our kids a little tighter. Kiss Noises Linda

Words escape all of us Rosey - who would have thought it possible. I've never heard of an inland tsunami.... very scary stuff!!
Lets hope the death toll doesn't rise any further today.

What a terrible week, I have struggled to grasp the enormity of it all. It has been so hard to watch being safe inside my suburb and not being able to do anything. Several of Jacobs teachers have been inudated so will help them out as soon as the water recedes for them.
