arachnophobics look away now....

let me start by wishing all of the fathers out there a Happy Father's Day...our mister moo enjoyed opening his many made and bought gifts and is currently tinkering away in his shed which is his idea of heaven :)
i have some very intriguing photos to share with you and if you are like me they might just make your skin crawl. i had noticed the other day that one of our 3 cameila bushes was covered in something and upon closer inspection it turned out to be a spider web!! yes the spider web is covering nearly every trunk, branch or twig on the bush and is FREAKING me out!! i can only imagine what sort of spider is creating such a web as i have yet to spot it. i am too scared to even touch the web with a stick just in case i rouse the owner/occupant.
the following photos although blurry give you an idea of what it looks like...
anyone want to play hide and seek in my garden?? the problem is my husband is even more afraid of spiders than i am (don't tell him i told you that) so i have no chance of getting rid of it!
have a great week ahead and may it be spider free :)

That is one hell of a web!
I did laugh at hubby being terrified of spiders as is Rich lol. They don't really bother me but of course we don't get ones like you and looking at that web I don't think i'd be too keen!
((hugs))

was sort of looking at the pictures through my fingers with hands over my eyes LOL we always wanted to emigrate to Australia but the spiders are keeping me in cold, damp England!!!

That web looks AMAZING, Rosey... but if you really want to pull it down you can be pretty sure the owner-occupant will keep well clear of the demolition zone. Web-spiders like LITTLE vibrations not big ones.

Hi Rosey,
That's amazing-I can't wait to see what lives in there!
Great photography.

SEE!!! That is the stuff of nightmares... MY NIGHTMARES!!! this is why I haven't come back home yet!!! In my four years in the UK I've seen one spider... and yes it chased me and had me trapped on the kitchen, my bum in the sink and my feet up on the bench, but back home that was nearly a daily occurance. Was saying to my housemate yesterday that I've noticed that I've never seen one TV commercial for insect spray... you'd not go a day without seeing one in Aus. Your photos fill me with dread Bud. x

WOW! Rosey! You have yourself an apartment of spiders! I can't see one of the occupants, though, are they big? or small? I used to have one big spider and his web on my tree, his body was the size of my thumb. I never want to get rid of him because my baby likes to see him. Anyway, one day he just vanished, leaving his web empty and I had never seen him since. I kinda miss him.
