an easter giveaway

i have finished my school work, so i have come to play with you. before i start, here is a little pic of claudia back to normal... her new nick name is humpty :)yes that is playdoh and her hands are covered in it too!
now as promised i have put together an easter themed giveaway. i have been working on an easter decoration and have come up with three prototypes. each one has its good and bad points. the chicken egg was stitched using the sewing machine and i was not happy with the effect.
i just love this little fella but i would improve the shape of the egg and hand sew it if you choose him.
'tweet dreams'
the rabbit egg is lovely but the egg shape was a bit wonky on one side
this is sweet too but one side of the egg was not as round as i would have liked it, so if you choose this one i will improve the egg.
mmmmmm chocolate!
and the sheep egg is a perfect shape but his thread colour is a bit too dark.
i am most happy with this egg shape which measures about 15cm in length and about 11cm across (plus 10cm of ribbon)
although he is cute i will use a lighter coloured thread.
each is backed with the same dotty fabric which just reminds me of coloured easter eggs.
so your job will be to pick which character you wish to have and i will make it for you and add it with the rest of the goodies.
i guess i should show you what you could win...
here is your loot should you win (minus the tin, that is for display purposes only)
a cute little toy to hang in a spot set aside for your easter display.
a sweet little chic all dressed up in frills and some shrink wrap easter egg magic. you put it around your eggs and then put into simmering water. the shrink wrap adheres to the shape of the egg! ( i havent tried it but it sounds fantastic)
an assortment of real chocolate eggs and decorations.
and of course your choice of a hand made easter egg made with love by me, you just have to choose which one... chicken, rabbit or sheep.
sorry about the photo quality but i just had to post this tonight so that you have a whole week to leave a comment and have the chance to win this fun little prize. i will choose one lucky winner on sunday the 1st of March!
this is open to everyone, even those who do not have a blog, just leave a comment and a way to contact you.
enjoy your week... i am off to post on my other blog, if you hadnt noticed i have had my first sale on etsy! i will tell you all about it there.

What a lovely giveaway!
I do think though if anyone with children wins they won't get a look in lol!

OH means other half, we're not married and I think boyfriend sounds too young for a 38 year old woman and partner never seems to roll off my tongue properly.
Take care
Big ((hugs))

Rosey, Rosey, Rosey!! You have GOT to stop telling us what you think is wrong with your lovely hand made goodies!! You just describe imperfect items as 'rustic' or 'prim' & leave it at that! :0)Love all of your little eggies, especially the sheep, but I wouldn't change his/her stitching - I like the contrast between black and white. Wish I had your email to give you a tip on helping you get both sides of your eggies equal!! Speaking of eggies - "Humpty" is a cute nick name for Claudia!! Good that you can giggle after the scare - have a fabulos week! BIG Bear Hugs! KRIS

You really amaze me with your unique ideas you come up with and the fact you do it all with kids!!
I amm really finding it hard to get my crafting mojo back at the moment.
But that goodie basket must have my name on it I reckon???
So please pop my name in the hat!

Hi Rosey, congratulations on your Etsy sale - it is exciting isn't it! I love the little eggs you have made - I especially love the little sheep, but the chick and the bunny are just as cute! Don't be too fussy about the shapes etc...that adds to the charm and the handmade-ness of them! Your giveaway goodies look wonderful - fingers crossed!

I thought playdoh was supposed to be super salty to deter children from eating it... she must take after her aunty... salt fiend. I would love to win your Easter give away, and if I do, I can't decide because they are all lovely so I would like Care Bear, Pussicatti and Cherry Liqueur to decide for me. Of course, if you had an Easter Cow I'd be obliged to say the cow, but as it is, my chickens should decide for me. Love you all. Xxx

Ahh Rosey.... I love your new designs and especially because they are not perfect. That is what makes them so adorable.

Mistakes are what makes you grow and advance with your design work. You practice, make changes, develop an idea and often find easier ways of doing things - that's the fun of crafting. I agree with Kris - embrace what you do and accept little inperfections as an enhancement to your design.
Hugs,
Kerryanne

mmm... I agree about the thread being to dark.. I think it'll be cuter to pick from the same shades, real close, to the fabric animal's color..

I think you are under appreciating yourself, there.. I love reading through everyone's trial and error (making me believe I actually read a human being's blog) but sometimes you just have to be proud with your creations. They are not as bad as you think.

Love them all!

Lol oh my goodness, Claudia should be a cartoon character in a children's book or a television show. "The Adventures of Hammy" or some such. She is the most entertaining little girl I've met.
